IROC Welcomes Craig Gygi to Board of Directors

IROC is excited to announce the appointment of Craig Gygi to our Board of Directors, reinforcing our commitment to delivering meaningful value to member hospitals, care teams, and—most importantly—renal patients.

Craig brings decades of expertise in operational excellence, people-focused process improvement, and data-driven decision-making across healthcare and other highly regulated industries. As founder and principal of Strategic Productivity, he partners with organizations to consistently deliver greater value while reducing waste, cost, and resource consumption. His leadership experience spans senior executive roles, including chief operating officer at Purple and executive vice president of Operations at MasterControl, with a portfolio covering healthcare, medical devices, manufacturing, aerospace, and more.

An internationally recognized thought leader in Lean Six Sigma, Craig co-authored the bestselling Six Sigma for Dummies and related resources that have guided leaders in applying practical methodologies to achieve sustainable results. His approach—blending statistical rigor, leadership development, and deep respect for people—aligns perfectly with IROC’s mission to improve patient outcomes, enhance workforce engagement, and elevate care delivery.

“I’m honored to join the IROC Board of Directors,” said Gygi. “IROC plays a critical role in helping hospitals and care teams learn from one another and improve renal outcomes in ways that truly matter to patients. I look forward to supporting the organization as it continues to strengthen the value it delivers to its members and the communities they serve.”

Craig’s cross-industry experience and passion for operational excellence position him to help IROC translate proven strategies into measurable improvements in quality, safety, and sustainability for renal care programs.
